want to experience playing hockey

For two days, I’ve been chilling whenever I go out of the house. The temperature drops until 10degrees Celsius although it feels more than that during nighttime and early morning. But, I find it perfect and relaxing rather than troublesome, just that we will never experience snow because that would be an extreme for a dessert land such as here. Still, I need to wear thick clothing to protect me from having colds.

Anyway, I would love to experience having a snow so that I can play hockey with my friends and loved ones. If that’s the case then, I would know if I can get one of those hockey trophies. I’ve been looking at the photos of one hockey team while sporting their trophy. It seems they look so happy and proud holding it. I also want to know that kind of feeling even for once.

Most people who hold garage sales are motivated by the need to organize and simplify their life but most don’t know where to start. Having a garage sale is a good start. If you are this kind of person, here are some valuable tips for you:

Rummage through your things, get them organized, put them into clusters and label them. From there, you choose what to sell. Don’t include the same kind of items but have a variety of items on sale even if they are big ones. You can make good money from them.
Decide a day or days and time for your sale. Also, you can invite your neighbors who have some things to sell as well to join you in your garage sale. Make sure you discuss and be clear about your arrangements.
Advertise your sale. Before you put up anything on the corner street, please inform yourself about the laws or ordinances in your area about holding garage sales. If you are clear with those and have secured the necessary permit, then you can begin your advertising through community newspapers, posters on approved areas and bold signs just outside your house. Balloons can be used to highlight your house so people will see the garage sale. Be sure to post your ad several days earlier.
Be sure you have the knowledge on how to display the items to be sold in the venue where you will hold your sale. You should group all same items together, items that are breakable and notify children or parents. Items should be clean and dust-free to attract the attention of the buyers. Put attractive items by the roadside. For clothes, put up a bar where you can hang them with hangers.
Be prepared with a lot of change for your sale. Not only change but a wrapper to help buyers wrap the items they bought. This way, you won’t be hassled all the time because of lack change or wrapper when buyers ask.
Expect buyers to haggle prices with you so be firm and prepared.

Oh my! Christmas is just around the corner. To be specific it’s only 18 days to go before the big day, which is making me a little anxious. I still haven’t started my Christmas shopping because I’m stuck having no extra money to spend. Keeping my fingers crossed that blessings will come my way before the day so I will be able to complete buying my Christmas gift list.

Anyway, hubby already decided what to give to the boys here. Actually, it was I who first suggested the idea of t-shirts, which is followed after discovering the t-shirts at foulmouthshirts.com. Those boys are quite naughty and they really love funny shirts. Our gift will be a great addition to their collection. Well, I will let hubby find the best shirts that those two will love.

I guess this is the end of our stay here in UAE. It’s been a stressful two months, but it’s worth it. Every day and night spent is an experience I’ll never forget. I made new friends and see a different place and experience a truly diverse culture. The goal may not be achieved this time, but there is still another chance in the future.

For now, there is little thing to do so I end my day surfing the web where I found the term micrometers. I’m not sure why I end up reading this stuff, but it’s a new learning so I proceed anyway. By definition, micrometers are devices incorporating a calibrated screw used widely for precise measurement of small distances in mechanical engineering and machining as well as most mechanical trades. my birthday wish gift

Oh my, I nearly forgot that my birthday is coming. The stress is keeping me from remembering special events like that. Good thing hubby reminded me about it, by asking what I want for this year. I hope I will receive two gifts from him since my birthday falls on the Christmas month. I haven’t given my answer yet because I’m also unsure what I want.

Actually, I have so many things I want such as accessories, bags, clothes, car, house and many more. But, I can only ask one and I guess I will go for a bulova watch. I discover a great style that suits me while looking at Reeds jewelers product page. Well, I have to tell hubby about it fast before the discount sale period expires. I also want him to get savings even for my birthday gift.

Buying a gift can sometimes be a daunting task especially if buying for a lady. What more if the task at hand is buying a ring for our beloved mothers? Its true mothers can make lies just not to hurt their kids. Despite that they also have certain taste and preference over the accessories they love. So, the buyer needs to consider the design, the gem and the metal. With all the many selections it would be quite a challenge. But, if you know the recipient better, you can easily pull off the challenges.

Now, the other challenge lies in the ring size. If it’s a surprise, it’s better to find other ways to get the ring size without asking her. Even the ladies themselves asked the question how to find my ring size. So, it’s not just an issue of the giver. One way to do get the right ring size is by swiping one of her current rings in her jewelry box. Bring along a piece of paper and a pencil and draw a circle inside the rind and take the sketch to the jewelry store. That’s it! Now you have the finger size of your mom.

Oh well, it’s been a while since the last day I updated this blog. I find it difficult to squeeze in some time to do that. Plus, I don’t have much idea over the topic to write. That’s why I’m writing anything something over some personal matters.

Actually, I’m looking for a way to get seasame street backpacks for my friend’s kids because school year is about to start. I’ve learned they love Sesame Street that much and will be very happy to get one. I’m sure their mom will get them these bags, but it doesn’t hurt to send them one. They can just alternately use their bags whenever they want too. Oh well, I guess I have to start searching for the perfect color and design. That’s it for now. Have a pleasant weekend everyone.

I guess this is something different from the rest of my post. But, it’s good to share some personal experiences once in a while. Actually, I’m happy to learn about my friend in Japan that he is soon to become a father. He said his wife is four months pregnant, which really excites them because it’s their first baby. That’s why they are now busy preparing for the months ahead.

For that matter, I find it suitable to send congratulation gifts for both of them instead of greeting him via phone or emailing them. I wouldn’t mind doing it because the guy is really a close friend of mine. It’s also nice idea to share in their happiness, right? For now, I’m already looking for mother and father to be gift ideas as well as baby shower gift. It’s better to purchase and send all of them in one to save on shipping fee. Well, I just hope they will send me pictures when the baby comes out.
