Things to Remember for an Interview

Some researchers say that only 10 percent of communication is in your words the rest is how you look and act. Of course, you must plan your clothes and create and attractive and professional impression. You must always appear in business attire unless the interviewer specifies otherwise. Make sure you are not overdressed and play safe by dressing conservatively.

Although some make chief executive officers and managers now sport long hair, it is best to be conservative. You never know if the interviewer is conservative. And you don’t want to get off on wrong start.

Wear something that are comfortable in and something that suits the job you are applying for. Make sure your shoes are well polished, your nails neat and clean, wear well ironed or wrinkle free clothes, simple hairstyle, and minimum jewelry.

Do something about hygiene. Never go to the interview without taking a bath. It will give you self-esteem and confidence. Also, plan what to bring. Woman should bring a purse or briefcase, but not both.

Remember that first impressions are formed within the first two minutes. The way you walk into the room, the way you shake hands and the way you sit in a chair will all convey an impression about you. Make sure it’s the one you want to make.
