Stress is a state of physiological imbalance in the body which has unpleasant emotional and cognitive components. If you experience stress at work frequently or for long periods of time, you’re in deep trouble. The collage of physiological changes that underlie stress is extremely destructive which damage the vital organs, immune system, mood, health, performance and face in the form or wrinkles. Good thing there is wrinkle cream to slow down wrinkling.
Other negative effect of prolong or severe stress is brain drain, brain aging, diseases such as stroke and heart attack. In addition, it also compromised immune system and depression, burn out, sleep problems, absenteeism, breakdown, poor performance, impaired thinking and memory and slower reaction times.
But, stress management and relaxation has considerable benefits to both individuals and the organizations. It improves mood, performance, health, and strengthen immune system. And it reduces absenteeism, reduce health care cost, increase job satisfaction, improve productivity and increase company loyalty.
Everyone should remember that business environment by its very nature is a stressful one. But, the effects could be managed with the help of stress management.
