Obesity is a medical condition that can be treated only by the person’s dedication to lose weight by means of weight loss program or weight loss pills. This condition may seem harmless to any company, but this is not the reality. In fact, it leads to many problems and one of this is the increased business costs. The effects are felt by all levels of society from individuals, to corporations, to governments.
As compared to normal weighted people, overweight people have higher rates absenteeism from work and take more disability leave. These will of course, increase employers cost couple with decreased productivity. However, it is also important that we give these people the chance to prove themselves regardless of their weight.
