Wallet talks

You’re a Stuff and Go Spender when your wallet is bursting at the seams. If your wallet is fully packed with cards you don’t use, old receipts and coupons, billfold that is so unruly that it literally leaks and find extra cash in your couch cushions or tucked into strange places around the house. You are most likely hanging on various pieces of papers in the hopes that one day you’ll actually go through and file them. But, in fact, the state of your cash shows you keep living in the moment, collecting evidence of your spending habits but never really examining them. Take one small step toward whipping your money-flow situation into shape. Set aside a half hour a week to sort your receipts and figure out your budget.

You are a charger when your wallet is filled with plastic. Favoring cards over cash isn’t necessarily a bad thing, there are people who use their cash-back rewards to the fullest and are able to stay on top of their finances with their monthly statements. But for most of us, this pattern indicates that you are not aware of exactly where your money is going which makes it easy to overspend. Mapping out a budget on paper and switching to cash for some of your expenditures will help you keep on top of what you’re doling out.

You are a neat freak when your wallet is totally organized. You will get an A+ in wallet organization because there’s a slot for everything. You’re in control for knowing exactly where your money is going at all times, from your bank account to your retirement plan. But you could benefit from occasionally easing up. Though it may seem decadent, it’s actually important to allocate money for fun. Relaxation is not only key to overall happiness but also can save you in medical bills, since the effects of stress can compromise your immune system. After all, when it comes to money, it’s all about finding balance.
